The Journey

Before we can create a plan for what to do next, we have to understand how we got here. Prior to our starting you’ll detail your work history, highlight your skills and strengths, and tell me every little anecdote that bubbles to the service. During this call I’ll pull out notable highlights that jumped out at me and have you share more in your own words to see where the needle is pointing on what matters most to you.

Session 2

The Story

(what does it all mean?)

Now that we’ve brought it all out in the open, what does it all mean? We’ll whittle down skills & strengths into your core values and clearly define each on your terms. It’s part origin story, part core values, and entirely in your own words how you would tell the story of your work and how you want to do good in the world.

Session 3

The Language

(in your own words)

Time to tighten up your focus - we’ve taken the time to be loquacious, now we need to use those clearly defined core values to develop an internal language for what you do, who you do it for, and why it matters. We’ll finesse the marketing of it all later - this language is all about what resonates with you.

The Method

At this point it’s pretty clear you’ve got a unique approach to how you do what you do - so let’s make a method of it! We’ll view your skills and strengths through the lens of your values to develop a succinct method to your madness.

Only now that we’ve developed such an incredible internal language for what you do and how you do it can we start to build your meaningful messaging. We’ll find the language that resonates with you and makes sense to others, from the one-sentence recap of your work to the full about page language that’ll take your audience from “seems cool, I think” to “this is exactly what I’ve been looking for.”

The Compass

In this, our final session, we gather every component from our past 5 sessions together and create your official Compass - the meeting of internal and external language, and the plan for how you’ll share this core message with the world. For some folks this looks like a completely new offer, for some it looks like reexamining where you’re throwing your marketing efforts, and for everyone it looks like goodbye decision fatigue, hello highly tailored business strategy.
