Excavate
Dig it up. Dig it allllllll up. The personal, the professional, all the mess in between, dig it all up without self-editing or compartmentalizing. The compartmentalization can come later; to start, doing a full catalogue of where you’re at is essential. I especially love reminding folks to dig into some sense memories in this stage, because no matter what we’re working on, get folks in touch with their senses and whether or not they’re naturally inclined to verbal storytelling, the stories start FLOWING.

Clarify
Only once it’s all on the table can we start to make sense of it all. So now that you’ve got a mass of stories ranging from highly personal to the go-to networking stories you’ve told so many times you could do it in your sleep, it’s time to make sense of them. Where are the patterns? Where is the passion? What surprised and delighted you? Here we can start the compartmentalization of it all as you make sense of what belongs where.

Prioritize
Decide where to start. We are, of course, mere mortals, and though it'd be handy to tackle it all in one go, it's just going to lead to burnout. Thus we need a plan of attack. We'll build a big picture plan for how to tackle your most pressing biz problems, for how you’ll find your flow and luxuriate in the work that lights you up. We need to understand what our big picture goals are and where we want it all to head toward. This is that place.

Strategize
Notice how we didn’t start strategizing til the very end?? This is where so many attempts at connection through content goes awry - if you perpetually start with strategy, you’ll inevitably be cutting your passion off at the knees. By ensuring a values-based North Star for your biz, we'll develop a strategy that holds true to your personal narrative and biz goals.
